ANTHONY DODGE & MARCIA MILGROM DODGE began writing together in 1998, shortly after journeying to Russia to adopt their sweet daughter Natasha.

They first adapted Nicholas Meyer's novel THE WEST END HORROR for the stage. SHERLOCK HOLMES & THE WEST END HORROR premiered at the Bay Street Theatre in 2002. It received a prestigious Edgar Award nomination from the Mystery Writers of America and was subsequently produced regionally at the Asolo Theatre and the Pioneer Theatre, directed by Mrs. Dodge. It is available for licensing through Playscripts, Inc.

They were then commissioned to create a book for a musical with an existing score. This property has since undergone revision and is now LOOK HOMEWARD HONKY TONK ANGEL, with a score by country music legend Larry Gatlin. The world premier was at Lyric Stage in Irving, TX in October 2007 under Marcia's direction. A National Tour is in the works.

Their original play called VENUS FLYTRAP A Femme Noir Mystery explores sexual politics against the background of 1943 New York City. And their newest play is FREE BURT LANCASTER! inspired by a trip to Alcatraz Island in 2006.

HATS! The Red Hat Society musical was developed from the society's mission of fun and friendship after fifty. The musical featuring an original book by the Dodges -- with songs by a collection of Tony, Grammy and Emmy winning songwriters-- opened in Denver in October, 2006 under the direction of acclaimed Broadway choreographer Lynne Taylor-Corbett.

Originally from Detroit, Tony and Marcia have been married since 1980 (and they said it would never last!) and reside in NYC. When not writing together, Tony happily spoils Natasha while Marcia continues her busy directing and choreographing career.
